In 2009, the answer was no. Kim began to wonder. She talked to her employer and got a second contract so that she could put her Master in Education to work and teach her nurses how to prepare for the CELBAN.

She began with four short two-hour classes offered once a week for four weeks. That was when she began to notice something.

Kim began to notice all the challenges, internationally educated nurses faced in trying to attend her classes.

Transportation was one of the problems many IENs faced.
Others worked shift work as care aids, and couldn't even attend a class being offered once a week.
There were the live and caregivers whose time was even more limited.
Others had young children.

That was when Kim started to realize that her nurses fell into one of three groups:

busy people,
disillusioned dreamers, and
unsuspecting newcomers.

So she knew and decided that whatever she created needed to address the needs of each of these groups of people

That was when Kim decided to teach CELBAN Preparation courses online, which was back in 2009: long before anyone else was teaching online.

In 2009, when Kim Kara started CELBANPrep, smartphones and tablets did not exist at that time. And YouTube was only four years old, but Kim was an early adopter of technology, always looking for new ways and solutions to make cell band preparation, affordable, accessible, and flexible let's advance in time to the present with the advent of the cell band CBT, the computer-based test being available internationally.
